Q: What are the system requirements for PromptDog and PromptPuppy?

Q: How do I buy PromptDog . . . I don’t see an Add To Cart button on the website?
A: PromptDog and PromptPuppy can both be licensed securely via the software interface using a credit card. Simply download either the Windows or Mac trial version by clicking one of the two blue buttons directly to the right on this page. Once downloaded to your desktop, unzip and double click the setup file to start the installation process. The option to purchase will appear every time you start the program in trial mode.

Q: I don’t see an option to purchase when I start the program. What should I do?
A: Click Help > About > Check for Updates. Then relaunch the program.
Q: Can I purchase my PromptDog license using PayPal?
A: Yes. Please use the contact form to ask our support staff to expedite your request.
Q: Can I install PromptDog on more than one computer?
A: Yes. We allow for two registrations per license, so you could install one copy on your studio computer and a second instance on your laptop.
Simply install the program on your second computer and “Log In” using the same email address you used to purchase.
Q: Can I install one copy on a PC and a second copy on a Mac?
A: Yes . . . please refer to the answer immediately above.
Q: I’m having problems installing the software. Any suggestions?
A: Upon investigation, we’ve found that most installation problems are associated with user permissions on Windows PCs. Make sure you are logged in into Windows as the Administrator, or a user with Administrator rights.
Q: Can I use a remote control with this software?
A: At the the time of writing, PromptDog does not offer native support for remote controls. However, there is a work around in the form of the Gyration Air Mouse Elite.
The Gyration Air Mouse lets you control software on your computer (PC/Mac) even when the mouse is not grounded on a flat surface. That means you can use it when standing! You can read more about this fantastic piece of equipment on our blog.
Q: How do I upgrade from PromptPuppy to PromptDog?
A: When you install PromptPuppy, you’ll find an upgrade button located in the left-hand control panel. Just click that button and you’ll be away.
